Hi,
I've bought an unlocking code OLD Pocket.
Unfortunately, OLD Pocket seems not to be compatible with foreign languages. I'm using the romanian translation (Cornilescu) and the romanian accents are not ok (ISO 8859 2). Replaced with signs like {, or so.
Along from that, French accents (ISO 8859 1) are ok.
Is there a patch for those accents to work ? I really need the romanian version.
Thanks a lot, God bless you !

Michel,

Look in the directory of the Pocket PC and see if the Romanian font is listed, if not listed then that would be the reason for it not displaying properly. Copy the Romanian for your desktop or Laptop to the Pocket PC and see if that helps, please let me know. I have run many languages on my Pocket PC with no issue, running Windows Mobile 5.0 & 6.0 and I know others running Windows CE. Please let me know so that I can help you get this resolved.

I had a problem with OLBHeb.ttf which was not displayed on PPC. After placing the font in source folder Windows\...ttf OLB would show hebrew signs correct.

Hi,
Actually, I don't know what font I should copy... Generally, on my laptop, I'm using Unicode. If OLB is not using unicode, i understand that there must be somewhere a font for showing romanian/polish caracters. Is there a way to know what font is used in OLB, and where this font is localized on the system ?
Thanks a lot in advance.

Michel,

Online Bible is still operating with True Type Fonts and is in the process of converting to Unicode as we speak, Beta's will be released probably during the summer.

On your laptop go to your Control Panel and the Fonts. While your PDA is connected and synched to your computer copy the Romanian True Type Font from you computer and paste it in the Font folder on your PDA. That will enable the PDA version of Online Bible to display Romanian.

Update to the newest Windows version 3.00 for Windows 98 SE and Version 3.90.02 for XP and newer operating systems, then delete the Hebrew Font. See below, then restart your PDA. With Version 3.00 and newer the PDA is pure unicode and this should correct the issue. Please let me know if it helps.

Pocket PC updated to handle the new Unicode module format and eliminates
OLBHeb.TTF. You may have to reset you Pocket PC to delete this legacy font
from your fonts directory. We have replaced it with an old Times New Roman
font that contains most of the Unicode characters and displays Hebrew well.
To delete OlbHeb.TTF use File Explorer on the Pocket PC to locate the
font under the Windows\Fonts directory. Press the stylus on the name to get a
popup menu. Rename the font to "x.x" and then delete it.
